This academic year 2025-2026, we are thrilled to launch IESChef, a cooking competition for all school students that serves as a powerful educational project for our entire community. This initiative focuses on our core values: Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience.
What makes IESChef special is that it’s a vertical learning project. From Year 1 to Sixth Form, our students will share the same excitement, allowing our older students to act as role models while sharing the same creative passion.
In line with our commitment to healthy habits, this year’s star ingredient is fruit. We are looking for innovative recipes (sweet or savoury) where fruit takes centre stage.
For this first edition, we are honoured to have specialists from the GASMA Gastronomy School, CEU Cardenal Herrera University and special collaborators on our jury. The winners from each category will be able to win the following prizes:
- A cooking workshop at the prestigious Gasma school.
- A meal invitation at a partner restaurant.
- A cookbook by the legendary Ferran Adrià.
We are thrilled with the overwhelming response to this initiative, with a total of 39 families registered to bring their flavour and creativity to this event. To share their culinary talent with the entire community, participants will submit a video of their recipe along with a written document that captures the essence of the dish: from its name and the necessary ingredients to the detailed steps of its preparation. It will undoubtedly be a unique opportunity to see adults and children collaborating in the kitchen and sharing their gastronomic secrets.
