British methodology in Primary
Students are actively involved in their learning and their teachers guide and support them in mastering knowledge and skills in a range of subjects and topics. Students are encouraged to think critically, analyse carefully and express their ideas accurately, whilst developing greater levels of autonomy, confidence and resilience. Students are gradually introduced to technology, giving them the opportunity to develop a wide range of transversal skills.
Our Primary curriculum is designed to keep students interested and engaged in their learning and to ensure continuity and progression from Early Years to Year 6, the final year of this educational stage.
Our Primary students base their learning mainly on the English National Curriculum, although compulsory aspects of the Spanish curriculum are also included.
Learning is approached through different themes. This type of learning connects each area of the curriculum to promote transferable skills and knowledge. Furthermore, it aims to ensure creativity in all subject areas to help engage and motivate pupils, making learning more fun and relevant for them. Our Primary teachers facilitate, guide and support pupils in their learning, allowing them to take an active role in it.
The Primary curriculum includes:

Technology
ICT and the use of technology are fundamental elements in modern life, so it is essential that all our students acquire the confidence and necessary skills to prepare for the challenge of a constantly changing world. We have specific IT rooms, and our bank of iPads and ChromeBooks that can be easily moved, make sure technology is present in the daily learning of students. Pupils also have their own chromebooks from Year 6.
Inside and outside the classroom
We organise trips throughout the academic year to reinforce both academic content and social skills. In addition, we use all of our facilities to promote active learning and provide a variety of experiences. From our music classrooms and auditorium, where we hold events and assemblies, to outdoor activities on our school site, we seek to enrich the students’ daily lives. These types of experiences, in addition to reinforcing knowledge at a curricular level, foster autonomy, collaboration, kindness and respect within our school community.

Bilingualism in the classroom
At our school, students enjoy constant exposure to the English language thanks to a native and qualified teaching staff that creates an environment of linguistic immersion. This approach allows our students to develop their language skills in a natural and effective way, guaranteeing a fully bilingual mindset by combining teaching in English and Spanish.
In addition, we complement their learning with the study of the Spanish language and culture, Social Sciences and Valencian, the language of our region. Students also have the opportunity to start learning French or German as part of their Modern Languages subject.
We also offer classes of Spanish as a Foreign Language for international students and additional support in English for those who have less experience, thus ensuring an inclusive education adapted to everybody’s needs.
