Active learning and English immersion

Play, exploration, active learning, creativity and freedom of movement are integral elements of the children’s daily experience. During the Early Years stage, teachers support and guide children’s learning, respecting their own pace and providing opportunities for them to experiment through play and their own interests. This is done either by activities initiated by the children or led by the teachers.
The Early Years stage runs from the age of 1 to 5 and is divided into four year groups:
Baby Bears
From 1 to 2 years
Little Bears
From 2 to 3 years
Nursery
From 3 to 4 years
Reception
4 to 5 years
We know your little one is your greatest treasure and we’ll make sure they get the best!

Our EYFS programme also focuses on four fundamental pillars, which are the basis of our students’ learning process:

OUR EYFS PROGRAMME
Active Learning
Our Early Years department offers both child-initiated and adult-led activities, ensuring that each child enjoys relevant, personalised experiences tailored to their interests. Learning through play and their own interests is very important to children’s development and forms an integral part of the daily experience at our school.
Bilingual Mindset
Our students develop their language through exposure to teachers in both English and Spanish, ensuring that they develop a fully bilingual mindset from an early age.

Flexible Environment and Freedom of Movement
Our classrooms are spacious, bright and welcoming, with direct access to the playground and its outdoor learning areas. These areas are equipped with age-appropriate resources and games, allowing children to enjoy a wide variety of experiences in a safe and stimulating environment. We also encourage free-flow play, where students have freedom of movement between learning areas, allowing them a degree of autonomy to decide, which is complemented by the guidance of our teachers.
The aim is to give every child the best possible start in their educational journey. Learning through play is very important for a child’s development. Through play, students develop language, emotions, creativity, social skills and imagination, which will provide the basis for essential skills such as problem solving, teamwork, kindness and effort. In Early Years, learning areas are organised into topics to achieve an optimal cross-curricular approach.
