The move into Sixth Form marks a particularly important stage in any student’s life. It is a time when academic decisions begin to shape future university and career pathways, and when having a strong, ambitious and well-guided environment becomes essential.
At IESC, Sixth Form is seen as a stage of academic consolidation, but also of personal development. Our aim is to support students during a period in which they must not only achieve a high level of academic performance, but also develop independence, analytical ability, maturity and self-confidence.
The Academic Excellence Scholarships are fully aligned with this vision: to support students with strong potential so that they can continue their education in an international, rigorous and future-focused setting.
Internal Academic Excellence Scholarship: recognising the journey of our own students
The Internal Academic Excellence Scholarship is intended to recognise the loyalty, effort and academic journey of those students who have completed their entire Secondary/ESO stage with us, from Year 7 to Year 11.
This scholarship is designed to value not only academic results, but also a sustained commitment to the school’s educational project over the years. In this sense, it represents recognition of the consistent work of those students who have grown with us and who have demonstrated a level of excellence in keeping with the values of the school.
The scholarship offers a 50% reduction in tuition fees, excluding lunch and materials.
One of the most important aspects of this scholarship is that families do not need to submit an application. The school itself will carry out the selection process, based on the established excellence criteria, and will notify the selected family directly.
External Excellence Scholarship: an entry route for new talent
Alongside this internal scholarship, International English School of Castellón is also opening a call for an External Academic Excellence Scholarship for students who are not currently part of our school community and who wish to join Sixth Form under this scheme.
This scholarship reflects the school’s commitment to attracting students with an outstanding academic record and the right profile to integrate into a high-level, international and demanding environment. It is not simply about rewarding grades, but about offering an opportunity to students who demonstrate academic strength, a positive attitude and a profile suited to the stage they are about to begin.
Among the general selection criteria is an excellent academic record, demonstrated through Academic Distinction or Honours, whether in IGCSE results from Year 10 and Year 11 or in the 3rd and 4th year of ESO. This will be assessed through school reports and/or predicted grades, and, where appropriate, later confirmed by the official IGCSE results in September 2026.
In addition, applicants must provide a positive school reference and have no disciplinary record.
